Let me start by saying I am a older male, who NEVER gets sick! I went to the ER on Jan 31 2018 because I was waking up in the middle of the night, like 2am with a hard time breathing, like a anxiety attract. It would stay with me all day long, I could not sleep. I was exhausted.
I have a PCP, but only because I cut a finger off a few years back, and needed to do a follow up on stich removal. That was the first time I saw a doctor in 20 years.
I could not get a appointment with him as they were booked solid. So my only choice to stop that awful feeling of being under water and drowning was the ER.
While explaining to the whatever she was, that I needed to go outside to get some air, as I was covered in sweat, she told me, "tell you as a adult, you cant do that". She said my oxygen levels and heartbeat were good, but she was taking me back for blood work, EKG etc.
Sweating and having shallow deep breaths, I was taken back and hooked up to the heart monitor.
After 10 min of that and feeling even WORSE, I ripped everything off, and ran outside. After 5 min of getting some fresh air, I was good enough to drive home.
I hope that clerk never has to have the anxiety feeling, as that was the first time I have ever had that in 68 years! It was freaking awful. If she ever did, maybe she would understand.
I will never ever go back to that hospital. I will see if my dogs vet is available first.
Follow up: 2 hours later, my PCP got me in. His nurse, who also suffered from the same problem, his medical assistant, and the doctor were right on top of the problem.
He explained what might be causing the problem, along with me now being older, etc.
By 4pm, I had a script filled, and was back to my old self by 5pm. Thank God.
P.S. I own a company with 20 employees, and deal with all kinds of people and personalities. If I cant accept your behavior, then YOU have a real problem!
